Chapter 3 is the beginning of the actual story. We go from 1929 New Orleans- to present day. The story begins with ten-year old Hoagie having a nightmare about the Booger Monster. The Booger Monster has been tormenting Hoagie within his dreams for an extended period of his life. Hoagie isn't the main character, but he is one of the main supporting characters of the story. In this Chapter, I also introduce Mya, another main supporting character, Hoagie's eight-year-old sister of whom he considers a pest along with the family pet, PJ- the chihuahua. I show a bit of the common sibling rivalry that most siblings endure within their younger years.
